CultureBee - Wireless monitoring and control
One of the main advantages with Wiotech's system is that the installation cost for the monitoring and control systems can be made much cheaper in comparison with existing traditional wired systems. An installation with a wired system would take weeks to install, whereas the Wiotech system only takes a few hours to make it operational. When installed, the system can be monitored and remotely controlled via the CultureBee or cb.wiotech.se cloud services over the Internet.
Every device in the system has its own built in intelligence. Devices can either be set for automatic local operation or controlled from a central device, so called Local Manager, which is also a Gateway the the Internet. A set of devices (depending on need and circumstance) can work together in one local area network and thereby enable more advanced functions to be utilized. Examples on this are automatic control of different functions such as heaters, ventilation systems, de-humidifiers etc. Add to that a scheduling function based on individual sensor feedback and you have a full easy-to-install indoor climate control system.
Our battery powered sensor T/RF SHT11 have very low power consumption. With nominal sampling interval of every 15 minutes, the sensor will operate up to 10 years. Wiotech's wireless system has a modular build up so that it is easy to extend and apply new features by introducing new sensors and new controllers into the system. Wireless sensor networks used to be characterized by short operating range and low reliability. Now, however, Wiotech has solved these problems with its own research based proprietary design and solutions. The wireless radio has a very long propagation range and strong radio signal, still with very low energy consumption. If one device would lose radio contact, the system would immediately compensate for that by the use of mesh technology to find an alternative route from the source to the designated destination. The more radio devices in the sensor network, the more robust the system will be.
